Nollywood actor, Adewale Adeoye aka Elesho-BolaEshosBlog

Veteran Nollywood actor, Adewale Adeoye popularly known as Elesho in a chat recently talked about why he has been away from movies. According to him:

“A lot of people have been asking me this question lately.

If you notice, many of the people in my category that we started acting at the same time are no longer that vibrant in the industry. It is because we are afraid of the type of scripts that the children are churning out these days.

Even in my house, I cannot watch most of the films that are released nowadays because there is really nothing to learn from them. Many of the actresses don’t dress properly. And because we are not their parents, they don’t listen to us.

You cannot expect people whose parents are not responsible to behave well. You cannot see people whose parents are theatre practitioners, or those who actually trained for the job, behaving badly” he said.

Peter Oko

Peter Oko, 29, was arrested in Nasarawa State, for stealing N5.675m from the New Nyanya branch of Diamond Bank, where he worked. He revealed that he took the keys to the vault, stole the money and hid it in a carton, which he took home after the close of work.

While speaking with Punchng, he said: “As a cleaner, I knew where all the keys were kept. I single-handedly carried out the operation because I have been working as a cleaner in the bank for the past 10 years and my eyes had been on one of the keys to the vault, where the bank used to keep all its money.

My attention was not only on the keys, but on how I will carry out the operation successfully without being caught by either the security or any staff of the bank. I knew where all the secret files were kept and where the bank kept its keys where you can have access to dollars, Nigerian currency and all other currencies.

The devil of economy recession pushed me into the crime; I have never committed a criminal act before, luck ran out on me and I was caught in the process.”
